GRP mast

GRP masts are made from non-conductive composite glass fibre materials in an intelligent lightweight construction format. The product also complies with all the structural engineering requirements for strength and stiffness and exceeds the working life of conventional masts due to corrosion and weather resistance.

3rd rail

With its 3rd rail system, Powerlines offers a reliable system for the electrification of underground lines and suburban railways. The seamless 6mm steel clip of the aluminium steel conductor rail provides ideal conditions for the current collector and ensures an exceptionally long working life. Different cross sections of the conductor rail, modular supports either made of steel or GRP, flexible mounting possibilities and pluggable cover systems offer customers complete solutions tailored to their specific needs and demands.

Loop insulator

The 1.5kV insulator has been developed for the French market and consists of composite materials with 2 frames of special shape and can be installed in existing overhead contact line systems without affecting the length of the systems, thus ensuring a safe and optimised installation.

The loop insulator is certified by CERTIFER and by STRMTG.

Animal protection GRP cover for cantilevers

Birds can cause short circuits in overhead line systems, which can lead to the damage of the system and thus disrupt train operations as well as to the death of the birds.
As a solution, Powerlines has developed a bird and animal protection GRP cover for cantilevers. The GRP covers are available in different designs for mounting on cantilevers below bridges and on supports in tunnels as well as in various prefabricated dimensions.

Hinge bracket

Powerlines has developed new hinge brackets for mainline railway. The highly optimised components were developed using strength and casting simulations during development. The hinge brackets are designed to be mounted on suspension columns and meets the following requirement profile:
