Events

All work on the four-track extension of this section of the Nuremberg-Bamberg line has now been completed and was officially opened last week. Powerlines was contracted with the electrification works on this section. This section is a further step on the Munich-Berlin high-speed line and an important contribution to the modernisation of the German rail infrastructure.

Ralf Hickethier, Managing Director of SPL Powerlines Germany, Alexander Plank, Project Manager, and Frederik Jung, Planner at SPL Powerlines Germany, represented Powerlines at the opening ceremony (see photo).

The next goal: the final construction section between Altendorf and Strullendorf. By 2025, the entire line from Nuremberg to the southern parts of Bamberg will be expanded to four tracks and modernised.
