Managing Director

With a distinguished academic background, I hold a BSc Hons in Mechanical Engineering & Business Studies from Sheffield University. Since 1995, I have consistently excelled in leadership roles within numerous prominent European engineering groups, each boasting subsidiaries in both Asian and US markets. Notably, I served as Managing Director at Volker Rail UK Ltd from 2006 to 2010, where I oversaw the Rail Systems Business, comprising six trading entities including Volker Rail Plant Ltd, Volker Rail Power Ltd (Overhead Line), Volker Rail Signalling Ltd, Volker Matrix Ltd (Distribution Business), Volker Rail Track Projects & Welding Ltd, and ALH Rail Coatings Ltd.

Since September 2012, I have held the position of Joint Managing Director at SPL Powerlines UK Ltd. Additionally, I am an esteemed member of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Managing Director / Chief Financial Officer

With a solid foundation in Business Management acquired at the Horn Commercial College from 1980 to 1986, Günter embarked on a distinguished career in the corporate sector. He commenced his professional journey at Siemens AG Austria, assuming the role of Commercial Department Manager for "Industrial Solutions and Services" from 2000 to 2005. His tenure saw him ascending to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at SIPRIN in Bratislava, a subsidiary of Siemens Bratislava, where he served from 2000 to 2005. During his time as CFO for a subsidiary of Siemens Austria named "Siemens Industrial Services" from 2003 to 2007, Günter played a pivotal role in executing outsourcing projects and orchestrating business restructuring endeavours, notably at VW Bratislava.

In 2005, Günter facilitated the integration of ELIN EBG into Siemens AG Austria, showcasing his adeptness at managing complex organisational transitions. His expertise in integration management was further honed as he assumed the role of Integration Manager for acquisition businesses at SPL Powerlines Austria in February 2010. After having been joint managing director for Powerlines in Sweden and Norway, presently Günter holds the esteemed position of Joint Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at SPL Powerlines UK, where he oversees operations with a strategic vision and a wealth of experience garnered over decades of corporate leadership.
