Sustainability in the Supply Chain

In the last twelve months, we have engaged with 454 approved suppliers, of which 63% are SMEs, with a total investment of £25m.

The strength and depth within our supply chain goes beyond these numbers, with a total of 500 approved suppliers that SPL can draw upon to successfully support delivery of a Rolling Programme of Decarbonisation.

We actively engage with our supply chain on a regular basis, and we have implemented an SME Action Plan to really drive collaborative value.

SPL Powerlines UK Ltd has joined the commitment to the Living Wage Foundation, as this reflects our People pillar within our company values. The living wage foundation accreditation, ensures our employees have sufficient income to support their families. This commitment highlights our dedication to providing fair and sustainable wages and our approach to fostering a positive, supportive, and equitable workplace.

As a Living Wage Employer, SPL Powerlines UK has committed to:

  1. Pay the real UK or London Living Wage (as appropriate) to all their directly employed staff over the age of 18
  2. Ensure all third-party contracted and sub-contracted regular staff are paid the real UK or London Living Wage (as appropriate)
  3. Increase the wages of these employees and contracted staff to the Living Wage, if appropriate, within six months of any rise in the calculated Living Wage rates
